Frank Rawlinson died from wounds on 13th November, 1914, after having been brought back to the United Kingdom but as yet, there is no information, as to when and where he was wounded. The 1st South Wales Borderers battalion was part of 3 Brigade, 1st Division that had arrived in France at the beginning of the war and had been involved in much of the fighting during the early months of the war.
